My Life in Thailand

My Big Break

Nan, District of Chiang Klang, Thailand. I have been living here for the past 5 months and it is really good to live here. The school generously provided a cabin where i could stay while I'm still teaching for the school.  I called it Ban(House) Markchipelago. It is a sweet little semi wooden cabin in front of a beautiful fish pond and across is a chicken and organic vegetable farm that is owned by the community.
This is what I need, a break from the city life.

Ditching my Comfortzone

So i decided to leave my beloved country Philippines and set out on a great adventure pursuing my love for nature, photography and travel. This big step i did, ditching my comfortzone has been a door way to more opportunities of improving not just my career but also my character as an individual.

To give you a background about my life, I grew up in the misty mountains of Tanay Rizal. After highschool, i moved to the city of Makati to study business then i worked in a British School in Taguig. It is never easy for a mountain boy to live in a big busy city so i often go back home to my folks to give myself a break from the city life, i always find refuge in the provinces with its slow paced life. But because some of the jobs i took required so much of my time, i was not able to go home as often as i used to. I will never get used to the city living. The heat, the smoke, the noise oh it's dreadful for me.

So after 8 long years of living in the city. I decided to move out, not just out of the city but out of the country. It was just a aperfect timing that I was burnt out with my city life. I talked to myself, i need a fresh start. So i decided to leave the Philippines and seek opportunities outside the country. Something that will be in harmony with my passion. So i had a opportunity to work in the Northern Thailand to teach English in the Province of Nan. And that's where my adventure began.

For the love of Travel, Nature and Photography

Since I am currently residing in Nan Thailand, I took it as an opportunity to explore new places, meet new people and experience the culture. So i travelled the Northern Thailand. The Northern Thailand have 9 provinces and i was able to travel to 8 of it. Of course Nan, Chiangmai, Lamphun, Lampang, Uttaradit, Phrae, Phayao, Chiangrai, and i hope to travel in Mae Hong Son soon. Just click the link to visit my Northern Thailand Blog .
In Nan alone, there are so many beautiful places you can visit. A lot of beautifuly structured temples around the province. If you're a nature lover this is a best spot, Nan is surounded by mountains and fields. Small rivers connecting to the Nan river are great for white water rafting during its season. There are plenty of organic farms as well and awesome coffee shop if you are looking for authentic Thai Coffee and tea.
Leaving the Philippines is never easy. Since it's not just a 10 day travel plan but way way longer than that, I promised my family and very close friends back in the Philippines and from other parts of the world that i will keep them posted on every activity i will do here. I want to make it a little bit more visual, so i decided to make a VLog. But it is open to public viewing as well.

So here's my intro Vlog for my Youtube Channel! Enjoy! Please leave me a thumbs up, let me know how can i improve more and please do subscribe to my channel to get updates about my recent travels!
So i set out on a great adventure here in the land of smiles. Join me as i discover new things living in the province of Nan, Northern Thailand
